Horrah the pumpkins i raved about growing have started to come up in the fresh compost heap!
My little helper again, even though she is covered in chicken pox she doesnt seem in to upset by them and has been quite helpful in the garden today.
This was the plastic bottle idea i was talking about on a previous post trouble is i need quite a few more plastic bottles and we dont drink pop in our house so might have to ask a few people if they can save me some. Also learnt that we made too many holes in the lids and the water drained straight out so we have popped a little soil in them to act as a natural filter.
The spinach was ready for a picking, we picked some took it insaide and made curried omlettes with fresh spinach. then the rest i blanched for 2 minutes in boiling water then stuck straight into ice cold water squeezed out the water and popped into the freezer in single portion wraps.
